This painting is inspired by the amazing sunrises and sunsets that can be seen in New Mexico. Soccoro is a small city south of Albuquerque near where the large array of giant radio telescopes is located. This landscape is a perfect setting for a firey transition of dark to light.
I have traveled to New Mexico many times and love its deserts, hills and mountains. At twilight these landscapes come alive with color. I hope this painting takes you back to a place where you experienced a sunset or sunrise that you can never jforget.
